Central Advocacy Partners aims to build inclusive communities by valuing and being seen to value individuals with learning disabilities and the contribution we can all make to the communities we share.

We aim to:

  1. Safeguard people through encouraging good practice and by preventing poor practice by those in a position to disempower, neglect or abuse.
  2. Add weight to the ideas, hopes, ambitions and opinions that people have, to increase the amount of control they have over their lives so that poor practice is challenged.
  3. Empower people so they will be able to make others take note of their ambitions and be less easily influenced by those who may have conflicting interests.
  4. Improve the way that some groups of people are treated in general by society, by the community and by the services that are provided on their behalf.

Help, support, and promote the welfare of adults with a learning disability through the provision of mechanisms that will enable them to make decisions affecting themselves, their families, and carers, with and through the statutory authorities and other agencies when required.
